Mission
OZbrief helps Australians quickly understand developing news from credible publishers. We prioritise accuracy, attribution, and transparency over speed alone.
Sourcing
- Stories are ingested from RSS feeds of established news organisations listed on Our sources.
- Every article page cites the original publisher and links to the full report.
- We do not publish unverified social posts or anonymous rumours as news.
AI-assisted summarisation
OZbrief uses automated tools to draft concise summaries and background context from publisher reporting. Articles flagged for low uniqueness, near-duplicates, or repetitive phrasing are held for editorial review before appearing on the public website.
AI output is checked against our quality thresholds (minimum word count, duplicate detection, and pattern review). Summaries are grounded in the linked source article.
Corrections
If we publish an error in a summary or headline brief, we correct it and update the article’s Updated timestamp. Report issues via Contact us.
Conflicts & independence
OZbrief does not accept payment from publishers for favourable coverage. App store links and advertising (where present) are disclosed in our Privacy policy.
