Western Australia's Nationals party ruled out contesting the Secret Harbour byelection and endorsed the Liberals on Friday, backing candidate Ryan Robertson, a Rockingham councillor and former submariner. Labor nominated Georgia Tree, a federal Labor staffer, while the Greens selected Rhi Davies. The seat became vacant after Labor minister Paul Papalia resigned citing family health reasons.
