Restricted eating hours may reduce cognitive decline in older age, researchers find
Researchers found that older women who confined eating to a nine-hour window and avoided food four hours before bed performed better on problem-solving and spatial planning tests than those who spread meals over 12 hours. Both groups lost similar weight averaging 7kg over six months in the pilot study of 47 women aged 50 to 79 with overweight or obesity.
