Origin Energy to refund thousands of customers after ACCC investigation
Origin Energy will refund over $270,000 to more than 4,500 customers after the ACCC found the company misled them into choosing more expensive plans. Customers on the Ongoing Saver plan were charged more than the Basic plan, with refunds averaging $60 each. In response, Origin will discontinue the Ongoing Saver plan and improve transparency in its offerings.
