Not enough water for UK’s datacentre plans, trade body says

Water UK warned the government's AI growth plans are "fatally flawed" because the country lacks sufficient water for planned datacentres. The trade body told MPs that datacentres could consume 19.8 million litres of drinking water daily by 2030 if capacity triples, up from current usage of 6.6 million litres.
