Navy officers deploy to remove WWII explosives in Tuvalu's Nanumea Lagoon

A navy officer from Karratha and his best mate were deployed on HMAS Yarra to remove World War II explosives from the Pacific. Lt Capelas and Lt Wyatt will assist in identifying remnants in Tuvalu’s Nanumea Lagoon as part of Operation Render Safe. The operation builds on a partial survey conducted in 2022.
