Nasa launches mission to save falling space telescope
NASA launched a mission on Friday to intercept the Swift observatory, which risks falling back to Earth. Engineers from Katalyst Space Technologies designed a robotic spacecraft, LINK, to catch the telescope using three arms. Swift, vital for studying cosmic explosions, has descended from 373 miles to around 220 miles due to increased solar activity affecting its orbit.
