Melbourne Water reports surge in flood risk for over 20,000 homes
On Thursday, Melbourne Water reported that over 20,000 homes in the city's west and south-west are newly at risk of flooding. The number of at-risk homes in Hobsons Bay surged from 1,950 to nearly 15,420. Community consultation on the draft flood maps will close on September 9.
