Footscray High School entered lockdown Friday afternoon after Victoria Police began negotiations with a 44-year-old man in a nearby abandoned property on Barkly Street. Police said there is no ongoing threat to the public. All students and staff remain safe, though students were unable to leave at day's end as the incident was still unfolding.
