Fun, fitness and finances raised as Run Melbourne takes to the streets
Over 28,000 runners participated in Melbourne's winter running festival on Sunday, with participants completing half-marathon, 10-kilometre and 5.5-kilometre events. Leukaemia survivor Tess Baird, 16, finished the 21-kilometre run in two hours and seven minutes while raising over $15,000 for the Leukaemia Foundation. Sunday's runners collectively raised more than $1 million for over 400 charities.
