French hitchhikers put faith in fellow travellers in Top End journey
Two French friends completed a 5,000-kilometre hitchhiking journey across northern Australia in August 2026, relying on cardboard signs and kindness of strangers. William Pertek and Manek Miquel waited up to ten hours in remote outback locations, including the sparsely populated Camooweal.
