Canberra's food and garden waste recycling program has been delayed a third time, with the ACT government now aiming for a 2030 rollout instead of the previously scheduled 2028. Minister Tara Cheye told senate estimates a two-stage procurement process for a new processing facility will begin in coming weeks. The pilot program has operated in over 6,000 households since 2021.
