‘Very strong’ El Nino event now in full swing: BoM
The Bureau of Meteorology declared a 'very strong' El Nino event on Tuesday, warning of increased risks of drought, heatwaves, and bushfires this summer. The US National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration recently reported a 63 percent chance that this El Nino could be among the most severe since 1950.
