Petrol prices drop to four-month low but government excise ends soon

Petrol prices in Australia fell to a four-month low, with the national average dropping 5.6 cents to $1.69 per litre. However, the end of the government's fuel excise discount will add 26.3 cents per litre back onto prices, offsetting some financial relief for households.
