Australia launches inquiry into South Korea adoption program fraud allegations

An Australian inquiry led by retired magistrate Robert Cook will investigate alleged failures in the decades-long adoption program between Australia and South Korea from 1964 to 1999. Adoptees will submit personal testimonies starting July, with Cook's final report due in December. The probe was triggered by South Korea's Truth and Reconciliation Commission finding widespread fraud in its adoption system.
