The Melbourne suburbs where 20,000 homes are newly flagged for flood risk
Nearly 20,000 homes across Melbourne’s north-west and north-east face flood risks, according to new flood maps released by Melbourne Water. Of these, about 7,400 properties in Banyule and 11,730 in Moonee Valley have been flagged for stormwater flooding during significant rainfall events. Community feedback on the draft maps will be collected until August 12.
